"Flatt City is a five piece bluegrass band from Charleston, SC (James Island). We take pride in producing our own special blend of bluegrass with driving instrumentals and strong vocal harmonies. I've been to a couple Georgia Mountain Fair Fall Festivals. This is when they have the Fiddlers' Convention and crown the Georgia Fiddle King. The best musicians I've ever heard in my life were performers at the festival.
If there's anything similar where you're at, I highly recommend checking it out. The best amateur musicians can be pretty phenomenal.
As for your friend, I wish him luck, and hope his band is successful.
